My name is Annette Andrade, and I’m the founder of Nettiebug Properties—a business born from deep roots, big dreams, and a heart for hospitality.

I was born in Modesto, California, and raised in the small town of Hilmar on a dairy farm built by my parents, Herman and Georgina Silva. Both immigrated from the Azores in 1965, each arriving alone with a vision for something greater. They met here, became proud U.S. citizens, and together built a life through relentless hard work and unwavering love for their family and land.

As their only child, I inherited not just the dairy, but their legacy of grit and gratitude. I ran the family farm for ten years before making the difficult decision to sell—a bittersweet moment that quietly made room for something new.

In 2022, we purchased a sweet little guest home in Turlock—what would later become Casita Andrade. It was our family gathering place for birthdays, sporting events, and time with the grandkids. And in 2024, when we found our forever home nearby, I knew the Casita had a bigger purpose.

After years of hotel stays that never felt like home, I saw a need—and stepped into it. Casita Andrade was created to offer comfort, connection, and care to others passing through, visiting family, or simply needing a place to rest.

That vision grew into Nettiebug Properties, a brand built on the same values I was raised with: warmth, work ethic, family, and heart. My daughter Kayla already plays a role in bringing that vision to life, and I hope to one day pass it down to her.

Casita Andrade is more than a rental—it’s a reflection of where I come from, what I believe in, and the kind of experience I hope every guest leaves with: one of love, comfort, and belonging.
